The CWRU Fencing Club is a close-knit group of students who get together to learn and practice Olympic Fencing. We train and have members in all three fencing events: Foil, Epee and Saber. While the basics are the same, each has its own special form and rules of conduct.
We accept members of all skill levels and experience. Whether you have fenced competitively for years or would like to start now, we are always looking for eager new members. We encourage our fencers to have fun, make new friends, and stab them! If you have your own equipment, excellent! If not, we provide everything necessary to fence the weapon of your choice (and we encourage trying every weapon to find the one that suits you best)!
We compete in the Midwest Fencing Conference against other collegiate club teams as well as varsity teams, including some Division I schools. Practices are held in Adelbert Gym from 6:30pm - 8:30pm on Monday and Wednesday and 4:00pm - 6:00pm on Friday. Come out and give it a stab! Fencing at CWRU is a great opportunity to stay physically active and meet new friends.
