Membership

Weatherhead Women in Business is open to students who are interested in professional development,
leadership, networking, and building a supportive community at Weatherhead and across CWRU.

1. Membership Dues

$30 per semester

Membership dues help support club programming throughout the semester, including professional development opportunities, networking events, social events, member resources, and WWIB merchandise.

Active members may receive access to benefits such as:

  • WWIB Resume Book
  • WWIB merchandise, including select apparel and stickers
  • Exclusive member social events
  • Professional development and networking opportunities
  • Eligibility for future WWIB Executive Board leadership positions
  • Member recognition and awards

2. Membership Point System

WWIB uses a point system to recognize members who consistently participate in club activities throughout the academic year.

How to Earn Points?

Event Type                                                                 Points Earned
General Body Meeting                                             +1 per meeting
Community Service Event                   +2 (first event), +1 each additional event
Social Event                                           +2 (first event), +1 each additional event
Professional Development Event       +2 (first event), +1 each additional event
Additional WWIB Workshops                                   +1 per event

Important: Points are only awarded when members register through WWIB CampusGroups and attendance is verified.

3. Outstanding Member Recognition

WWIB uses a point system to recognize members who consistently participate in club activities throughout the academic year.

At the end of each semester, the member or members with the highest point totals may receive:

“Most Engaged Member” Recognition + WWIB Swag

Outstanding participation may also be highlighted through WWIB social media, newsletters, or member recognition initiatives.

4. Executive Board Expectations

WWIB Executive Board members are expected to maintain Active Member status and demonstrate consistent participation throughout the semester.

Executive Board members are expected to:

  • Earn at least 66% of all available membership points
  • Attend at least 90% of General Body Meetings and WWIB events
  • Participate in at least two tabling or recruitment events/semester

Failure to meet participation expectations may result in a review in accordance with WWIB's Constitution and professionalism guidelines.
