Mission

Weatherhead Healthcare Club (WHC) at Case Western Reserve University Weatherhead School of Management provides a professional network and extracurricular education for students interested in the business of healthcare delivery. Whether students are interested in the fields of hospital administration, payment reform, medical devices, pharmaceuticals, consulting, or continuing education in the field of medicine; WHC will prepare members for successful recruiting in healthcare-related firms.

Objectives

1. Strengthen the network and foster new relationships between Weatherhead School of Management and the world class healthcare hub here in Cleveland

2. Educate members about the latest trends and career opportunities in the rapidly evolving healthcare industry

3. Create a culture of shared learning that will translate into new partnerships, innovative startup ideas, and increased collaboration among individuals from various sectors of the healthcare industry

4. Expand the presence of Weatherhead School of Management’s healthcare-focused students in higher education through participation in national case competitions

On behalf of the Cleveland Clinic, the Weatherhead Healthcare Club would like to extend to 5 interested graduate students the opportunity to attend the 2019 Value-Based Innovation Summit hosted by The Cleveland Clinic. The Summit will bring together over 300 clinical, financial, and global healthcare thought leaders and decision-makers from around the world for a timely discussion of best practices and solutions in value-based care redesign. The theme for the 2019 Summit is Best Practices in an Accountable World. Now in its 3rd year, the Summit will feature thought and industry leaders such as Michael E Porter, Dr. Amol Navathe, Dan Rosenthal, Angela Meoli, and Paul Marchetti.
