ARTICLE III of The Constitution:

BOARD OF DIRECTORS

SECTION 1. The minimum required board of directors shall be the faculty advisor, president, and president-elect.

1.1 Additional recommended board positions are vice president of communications, vice president of finance, vice president of programming, vice president of membership, and vice president of advertising and promotions, vice president of website, vice president of social media, as well as any other officers deemed necessary by the collegiate chapter.

SECTION 2. The board of directors and the chapter officers shall be elected or appointed by May 1 of each year to serve the following year. The faculty advisor shall be chosen as provided in Article V.

SECTION 4. Any board member or other elected officer who fails to fulfill the terms of office listed in Article IV, or to serve in an agreed-upon official capacity may be removed. Such action shall be effective only upon a majority vote of the board of directors taken at an official meeting called for such purpose.

ARTICLE IV. DUTIES OF THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS

SECTION 1. The president's duties shall be to preside at all meetings, to appoint all special committees, and to be the chairperson of the board of directors. The president shall also receive and share information from special chapter leader communications from the AMA Support Center. The president is responsible for all chapter reporting to the AMA, including the reporting of next year's required officers, and the minimum required reporting (chapter plan & annual report).

SECTION 2. The president-elect shall perform the duties of the president in the president's absence. In the event of vacancy of the presidency, the president-elect shall succeed to the presidency and complete the remainder of the term. The president-elect shall be responsible for duties as assigned by the president.

SECTION 3. The vice president of communications shall keep all records, except financial, handle written correspondence, perform such other related duties as the president delegates, and prepare a written report of actions taken at each meeting, which will be on file at the next meeting. The vice president of communications shall provide the president-elect and faculty advisor with all written records and account information, including any necessary login and passwords, upon graduation, or before May 1; whichever is earlier.

SECTION 4. The vice president of finance shall collect all collegiate chapter funds and deposit them in an account on behalf of the collegiate chapter of the American Marketing Association. He/she shall collect and disburse funds in accordance with his/her University/College policy. He/she shall work closely with the vice president of membership in collecting the AMA national dues, He/she will be responsible for making all necessary expenditures when authorized by the president and faculty advisor, keeping financial records, and submitting a written financial report to the collegiate chapter at the last regular meeting of each semester. The vice president of finance shall provide the chapter president and faculty advisor with information in a timely manner upon request. He/she will perform such related duties as the president shall delegate. The vice president of finance shall provide the president-elect and faculty advisor with all account information, including any necessary login and passwords, upon graduation, or before May 1; whichever is earlier.

SECTION 5. The vice president of membership shall provide the steps to active new membership online via www.ama.org for all potential student members (or instructions via group membership). He/she shall check the chapter's membership roster for accuracy, making sure all members are accurately being reported for the chapter. In accordance with the chapter's determined goals, he/she shall conduct an active and aggressive membership campaign. The vice president of membership should remind members to renew AMA national membership in the month of their membership expiration. The vice president of membership shall be responsible for duties as assigned by the president. The vice president of membership shall provide the president-elect and faculty advisor with a current chapter roster upon graduation, or before May 1; whichever is earlier.

SECTION 6. The vice president of programs has responsibility for developing, recommending, and implementing programs for the collegiate chapter. Additional chairpersons may be appointed by the president to handle special programs such as regional conferences and specialized projects. The vice president of programs shall be responsible for duties as assigned by the president. The vice president of programs shall provide the president-elect and faculty advisor with all written records and account information, including any necessary login and passwords, upon graduation, or before May 1; whichever is earlier.

SECTION 7. The vice president of advertising and promotion is primarily responsible for promoting the events and affairs of the collegiate chapter to the school, local AMA professional chapter, and local community. The vice president of advertising and promotion shall be responsible for duties as assigned by the president. The vice president of advertising and promotion shall provide the president-elect and faculty advisor with all written records and account information, including any necessary login and passwords, upon graduation, or before May 1; whichever is earlier.

SECTION 8. The vice president of website is primarily responsible for maintaining the chapter website, keeping it up to date, and making sure it links to the national AMA website, and aligns with the AMA chapter brand guidelines. The vice president of website shall provide the president with login and password information in a timely manner, upon request throughout the year. The vice president of website shall provide the president-elect and faculty advisor with all account information, including any necessary login and passwords, upon graduation, or before May 1; whichever is earlier.

SECTION 9. The vice president of social media is primarily responsible for promoting chapter activities and engaging members and non-members through the chapter's social media channels. The vice president of social media should engage the local business community, with chapter news, projects, events, and post and speak on behalf of the chapter. The vice president of social media shall provide the president with login and password information in a timely manner, upon request. The vice president of website shall provide the president-elect and faculty advisor with all account information, including any necessary login and passwords, upon graduation, or before May 1; whichever is earlier
