Co-Sponsorship Purpose and Mission
To further our mission of building community and bettering the student experience in the residence halls, RHA offers campus organizations, Residence Life organizations, and Community Councils the opportunity to request either monetary or non-monetary support from the General Body of RHA for events, programs, and initiatives.
How to qualify
Organizations applying for an RHA co-sponsorship must first go through a preliminary application screening by the Executive Vice President of Audit and Finance and must then receive approval from the RHA General Body.
Co-sponsorship funds should be extended in support of events, programs, and initiatives that align with the Residence Hall Association’s goal of community building through:
- The establishment and maintenance of long-standing traditions;
- Enhancement of the residential experience through Education, Community Engagement, Relationship Building, and the Providing of Resources.
The focus of every Co-Sponsorship should be the use of RHA's powers and privileges to benefit the residential experience through collaboration and support.
Types of Co-sponsorships
RHA offers three different types of Co-sponsorships for organizations. They are as follows:
1. External Co-Sponsorship
This type of Co-sponsorship is reserved for non-Residence Life affiliated campus organizations. This includes student student organizations under USG, UDC, UMB, UPB, COC, or Greek Life and campus offices besides Residence Life and Housing.
2. Internal Co-Sponsorship
This type of Co-sponsorship is reserved for Residence Life affiliated campus organizations. This includes initiatives led by RAs, the RHA Executive Board, or the RHA Community Councils.
3. Executive Co-Sponsorship
This type of Co-sponsorship is reserved for RHA Community Councils only.
