Purpose & Mission

To further our mission of building improving the student experience in our residential communities, RHA offers CWRU student organizations, the Office of Residential Living and Learning, and RHA Community Councils the opportunity to request either monetary or non-monetary support from the RHA General Body for their events, programs, and initiatives.

How to Qualify

Organizations applying for a co-sponsorship must first go through a preliminary application screening, conducted by the Vice President of Auditing and Finance. Following this, they must receive approval from the RHA General Body through a standardized voting process.

Co-sponsorship funds should ONLY be requested in support of events, programs, and initiatives that align with the Residence Hall Association’s goal of enhancing of the residential experience through education, community engagement, relationship-building, and provision of resources.

The focus of every co-sponsorship request should be to use RHA's resources and influence for the benefit the residential experience.

Types of Co-Sponsorships

The Residence Hall Association offers two types of co-sponsorships to organizations:

1. External Co-Sponsorship

This type of co-sponsorship is reserved for campus organizations NOT affiliated with RHA or related residential offices. This includes student organizations under USG, UDC, UMB, UPB, COC, or Greek Life, and any other campus offices besides the Office of Residential Living and Learning.

2. Internal Co-Sponsorship

This type of co-sponsorship is reserved for campus organizations that are affiliated with RHA and the Office of Residential Living and Learning. This includes Resident Assistants, advisors, and RHA Community Councils.
