Diversity: the inclusion of researchers of all backgrounds and ethnicities; every individual must have the opportunity to be part of a lab and research projects

Equity: all individuals have access to any resources they may require for their research, regardless of their background (socioeconomic, ethnicity, etc)

Inclusion: everyone has a safe space and feels empowered in that space; they feel comfortable enough to express their opinions
