Save the Date for this year's Research-A-Thon!
Research-a-thon is a bi-annual event organized by the URS. Research-a-thon has been a chance for students to challenge themselves to collaborate on finding a solution to real world problems. Each Research-a-thon season has a different question. Students work in groups of 3-5 to generate a research proposal to solve the research question. There will be workshops to help along the way. On presentation day, each team will have 10 minutes to present their proposals to a panel of judges comprised of graduate students. There will be 5 minutes for questions. After all teams have finished their presentations, judges will convene to discuss their scores and find a winner. The 1st place and 2nd place teams will get monetary prizes!!!
Timeline of Events
Jan 30th, 6:30 - 7:30 pm: 2nd interest meeting
February 13th, 6:30 - 7:30 pm: Case Study workshop
February 17th, 1:00 - 5:30 pm: Presentation Day (MANDATORY)
