The purpose of GB events is to help build a community of undergraduate researchers and shape the URS identity. Each GB event aims to have students walk away (1) learning something about research and (2) developing the community.
Guest speakers may attend to teach students about research techniques or history, but each event also includes a fun activity that lets you take something home to remember it! URS GB events emphasize the interdisciplinary aspect of research by incorporating multiple topics and perspectives throughout the year.
