Our mission is to build an environment of civic responsibility involving social justice, diversity, inclusion, and respect as the primary aspects of good citizenship. The IFC/PHC Council has three Vice Presidents dedicated to the three Citizenship areas.
CWRU Greek Life Office and IFC/PHC council hold various leadership development opportunities, such as The Lyceum, The Academy, and Upstander 101. These flagship leadership and community development programs are key foundation to the success and positive change movement in the CWRU Greek Community. 82% of attendees from all three programs combined went on to hold a chapter or Greek Community leadership role. The Greek Life Office also hires one student, the Leadership Intern, to support this pillar.
All chapters are founded and live out their specific ritual, but as a community, this ritual looks like living out these pillars everyday and participating in the CWRU Greek Life signature events. This includes the annual Greek Games which unifies the community through friendly competition.
Academics and scholarship are key elements to CWRU Greek Life. Greek students consistently outperform non-Greek peers in terms of GPA. The Greek Life Office hires two students annually, the Greek Community Educational Consultants, who work to support this pillar.
